CONSERVATION MANAGEMENT PLANS

A heritage assessment substantiates the cultural significance and a conservation policy sets out appropriate recommendations enabling that significance of the place to be retained within future use and development.

HERITAGE ASSESSMENTS

Heritage assessments are undertaken in compliance with State Heritage Office requirements and within the guidelines of the Australia, ICOMOS Burra Charter, which defines the basic principles and procedures to be followed in the conservation of Australian heritage places.

CONSERVATION MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES (CMS)

A State Registered place already has its significance substantiated, so aside from a summary of that, the conservation policy can be developed into the strategies for the conservation of a place, and funded as for Conservation Management plan opportunities.
